Frequently asked questions questions…
Are these courses suitable for beginners?
Yes, our courses are suitable for all levels, from beginners (A1) to advanced (C1, C2). When you register, we'll check your level and suggest a suitable program.
Do you offer online or face-to-face courses?
We offer online courses, accessible wherever you are, as well as face-to-face courses in La Rochelle.
What's the difference between individual and group lessons?
- One-to-one lessons: tailored to your needs and objectives (work, travel, exams, etc.), with a dedicated teacher.
- Group classes: small groups of 3 to 5 people, encouraging exchange and oral practice in a friendly atmosphere.
How long does it take to learn French?
Progress depends on your initial level, the pace of your lessons and, above all, your motivation and personal work between classes. By choosing the 2-hour, twice a week level pack (intensive training), you can reach the next level in 80 hours. We offer one session from February to June and one from September to January.
How much does it cost and how do I sign up?
Prices vary according to the course format (individual or group) and duration. Contact us via our online form to obtain a personalized quote and reserve your place.
What media and methods do you use?
Our courses use an interactive, communicative approach, with a variety of materials including authentic documents, videos, online exercises and role-playing. The aim is to help you use French in real-life situations. They are accompanied by a method with exercises.
Do I need to practice French outside the classroom to progress?
Yes, to make effective progress, it's essential to practice French outside the classroom. We recommend making the language part of your daily routine: reviewing lessons, doing homework, but above all exposing yourself to the language (listening to podcasts, watching films in French, reading articles and chatting with French speakers). The more you're exposed to French, the faster and more naturally you'll learn.
What equipment do I need to take the course?
For online courses, you'll need a computer, a good Internet connection and a headset with microphone for better audio quality. We will share all teaching materials with you. We strongly recommend that you purchase a textbook. For face-to-face courses, simply bring your own note-taking equipment!
